The Conception of Authority in Semantic Field. Typology and Classification.
The article deals with the problems of authority as the social phenomenon and its demonstrations in modern conditions. The structure and nature of authority are in focus of attention. It defines concretely the concept of authority, gives the original definition, analyses correlation of the authority with other contiguous phenomenon, illuminates the levels of authority, justifies the structure of authority relations and interconnections of its components: the subject of authority, the object of authority and the area of authority. A serious attention is paid to the analysis of military authority as the form of social authority. The author explains this concept and makes an attempt to classify military authority on the basis of its subject, particularly of its personal and collective forms. Some attention is paid to the criterion of authority, system of social-moral values and alignments developed by society to establish authority level of a subject. Much prominence is given to the determination of authority and necessity to regulate authority relations, particularly in the Russian armed forces.
