Imaginary Logic-2: Reconstruction of a Version of Outstanding Nikolai Vasiliev's Logical System
Abstract
The aim of the paper is to present a formal reconstruction of a recondite version of Nikolai Vasiliev's imaginary logic. Vasiliev regarded this version to be an 'interpretation' of imaginary logic in terms of 'our real' logic. The core idea was to associate a concept considered as a set of characters with each term and to treat syllogistic constants as denoting intensional relations between concepts. This variant of the imaginary logic differs essentially from its main version, it has another class of laws. Semantics of 'logic of concepts' based on Vasiliev's preformal intuitions is formulated. Syllogistic type calculus axiomatizing the set of valid formulae is constructed.
